GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -Rangers has handed Kyle Lafferty a two-week suspension for a breach of club discipline, amid speculation of a fallout between the striker and manager Ally McCoist.

Lafferty didn't travel with the deposed Scottish champions for its match at Hearts on Saturday, when Rangers won 3-0 to virtually ensure a second-place finish despite being docked 10 points in February for falling into administration - a form of bankruptcy protection.

The Northern Ireland international's ban adds to the problems of the financially stricken Glasgow club, which was barred on Monday from signing players for 12 months after it was found to have breached five disciplinary rules as it fell into heavy debt.
